OBJECTIVE
Trove is a quarterly print magazine that promotes a sustainable lifestyle through upcycling and second-hand shopping. Trove targets an audience that is environmentally conscious but refuses to sacrifice on style and trends.
APPROACH
Because second-hand shopping and thrifting are often associated with clutter and junk, I wanted to emulate the simplistic style of many modern magazines without sacrificing the quirks that come with the territory. The logo, which I modified from Cako, has a fun appearance that also conveys sophistication. I kept the covers simple and focused by featuring a single iconic vintage item over vivid solid colors. The magazine interior is image-focused and uses pull quotes, headings, and other engaging typographic elements to help break up body copy.
